Are you currently working on a personal project?
Yeah, I'm currently working on everything I've ever wanted to do. Including managing artists and creating musical projects, creating a fashion house inspired by a trip to Japan in 2010. It is most important that I focus on my own projects as it is a testament to what I am capable of without a big corporate company behind you.
Have you always wanted to work in the creative industry? If yes, can you tell us why? If not, how did you land your current position?
Yup, I've always enjoyed making things, albeit putting together musicians or making the artwork for songs, Myspace layouts, you name it so the creative industry was inevitable. I landed in my current position through pursuing my musical interests and finding myself working at start-up DICE.FM throughout university and post graduating, Soala put me in touch with ustwo.
What has been your biggest achievement to date and why?
Graduating from university (with a first) because it wasn't something I'd always wanted to do or thought I would do.
What would you describe as you biggest obstacle so far?
Obstacles include working with friends, knowing how to appropriately price your time and art
Taking a lighter note what and who inspires your creative process?
I may saying everything, but literally just life. I take, manipulate, reconstruct things I may have seen, visualised or even heard (this sometimes includes dreams).
What three tips would you give your younger self?
Just try, SAVE YOUR MONEY and ask for help!
What words of wisdom do you have for other creatives?
Cliche but.. nothing trumps hard work and failure - nothing!
If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people, what would you message be?
Do more. Don't conform. F*ck social media and empower your people.
What legacy would you like to leave behind?
A legacy that will survive and enrich youth for decades to come
